[Kor doesn't fully understand why this is a problem for Caius. These Leimorne are just people who have special powers, right? So what's the big deal, why would other people act so afraid of them? They sound cool to him. And if Caius is one of these, that makes him cool too.]

I don't really get what the problem is, but these Lamemornings sound really cool to me.

[...Some things don't change, Caius.]

[He said the thing-- Caius's whole face lights up when he realises what Kor just said wow, for getting the pronounciation totally wrong? He couldn't be happier.]

Hey, you said it!! It's a little different hearing it now, but...!

[Unfortunately he can't stay happy about this, not when it's a serious matter. Caius ends up quickly shaking his head and putting on a more dire expression.]

I mean-- No! Well, yeah, they are cool. But you can't say that sort of thing around people you don't know here! Leimorneans were rounded up and killed here just for being themselves not too long ago so we've gotta be careful!

[Kor couldn't understand for the life why Caius seemed so happy there for a moment, considering what he just said. Leimorneans getting rounded up and killed like cattle?! That's enough to make his blood boil.]

What?! That's terrible! Why would they do that?! Did you guys do something bad?

'Cuz of the Pope, the Heretic Hunt and loads of dumb lies and misinformation that got spread around. Leimorneans didn't do anything!

[He really doesn't want to stop and explain the entire history of why the Leimorne drew the short straw in everything, important as it all is. Mostly because Kor knew most of it before anyway.]

... It's not like Leimorneans are perfect, yeah, they've messed up. I've messed up plenty! But just saying to someone "they're cool" could cause lots of trouble. People are meant to feel better about them in Senshibia but this'll be my first time there, so...

[Man, Caius really feels strongly about this. Of course he would, though, it's something that affects him directly. But Kor can respect Caius' feelings. If it matters that much to him, he'll make sure to keep his mouth shut about what Caius just told him. Or he'd try at least. Keeping secrets is so hard, though. Man, why couldn't you just keep him in the dark instead?]

[There's a brief pause.]

...What's a "Senshibia", by the way?

[Yeah keeping secrets is hard. And really? He'd love to tell people how cool Leimorneans are. Since it's the truth. But this isn't like back in Verens where no one bat an eye about transforming into a beastman. Well, between you, me and and my friends anyway. They already know how cool I am. [Heh! ... Okay so he's only a "little" cool by Rubia's standards but what does she know.] Anyway, Senshibia is where this boat is headed to. It's uh... A continent? And... That's all I've got.

[Tilkis really never gave anything away about his home for him to know much else. But hey, that just means they get to adventure around and find out what's what for themselves!]

[You can practically see the wheels turning inside Kor's head.]

Umm... Never heard of it. I thought I'd already seen the whole world, but I guess not!

[...Guess who hasn't figured out he's on a whole new planet yet.]

[... You know, Caius knows he isn't smart. But hearing Kor sometimes makes him feel like he is.]

... Huh? [Okay he needs to think for a sec.] No, this... Kor if you'd seen Senshibia before that means we come from the same world. And then you'd definitely have to know about Leimorneans, the church, everything!

[Why doesn't he just say this isn't Kor's world that would be so much easier.]

Right! But I don't. [He gets that much, he definitely has never heard much of anything about these Lamemornings or anything of the sort.]

[... Was Kor always this. Kor-ish. Caius isn't a smart lad but even this is enough for him to pull a face when Kor doesn't get it.]

That this isn't your world?! C'mon, if we were from the same world I'd know all about Somas and stuff only you could know!

[Ignore the fact he's bringing up stuff only Kor should know here because that would disprove the solid point he's making thanks.]

[Welcome to what the guy's like without any of his Empatheias-induced growth, Caius.

For a moment, Kor seems to totally get what Caius is saying, as he nods along.]

Oh. Yeah, that makes sense.

[...And then that all falls apart.]

Wait, what?! Then... I'm on another world?!

[Yes, Kor, that is what Caius said. And you're being very loud right now.]

Aaah! Yes, you're on another world!!

[WHY LOUD Don't yell at him?! After Emp this all sounds very "yeah whatever" talking about other worlds and everything. Though it does go to show Kor really has no idea about any of this.

Not that Caius didn't already know that but the reminders are always nice. He just wants his friend to remember him okay.]

I don't know how it happened or what this weird gate did to you, but you sure as heck aren't on your world anymore.

[There's a small pause from Kor, and then.

He just laughs.]

Wow, haha! Talk about crazy. Well, then I'm sticking with you until I find a way home, Caius. You seem like you know your stuff! So, uhh... You said we're heading to this Senshibia place, right? What's it like?

[After an outburst like that he's suddenly taking this. Really well. Kor you are a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Talk about crazy indeed.]

When I said Senshibia was a continent and that's all I had... I meant it. This will be my first time going there. [...] I, uh, barely knew the place existed before meeting the Senshibian prince.

[Saying that right after Kor says Caius knows his stuff stings a bit. He's painfully sheltered in regards to the world sadly.]

[Kor doesn't get bothered by much. It's so much easier to take life in stride.]

Ooh... So you don't know much about the outside world either, huh? [He's not trying to come off rude there. But that's something that sure strikes home for him. He knew so little about the world for a long time.]

[Caius sighs in annoyance upon hearing that. Just because it's true doesn't mean Kor needs to point it out like that.]

I know lots, about Aurella and where I live! Just... Not as much with other places! [So basically what Kor said. Yup.] I was never allowed out of my village growing up, or not very far away from it anyway.

[Sure he tested those boundaries regularly, but even then his dad never let him go outside the forests near Fern.]

[Kor just laughs, not the kind of laugh that's laughing at Caius, just a joyous laugh. It's nice to find a kindred spirit.]

It's the same for me. Gramps never let me outside of Seaville when I was growing up, no matter what. I never even so much as saw another village until I went on my journey.

[Thankfully he can tell Kor isn't exactly laughing at him before he gets more annoyed. Kor relating to him helps too.]

... Huh. I didn't know that. I was the only kid in Fern who hadn't left and been outside to other places for the longest time. [He conveniently misses out the part where other kids made fun of him for it-] But I guess your Gramps had his reasons, like my dad did.

Mmhmm. I didn't like his reasons at the time, but now I know he just wanted to protect me. [Or maybe protect others from him. Hard to say.

Hey how about that upper deck huh.]

Dad wanted to be able to protect me too. Even now... I don't know, I love him and appreciate all he did for me, but not letting me outside at all was really rough.

[Shrug. It's all in the past so there's no changing it now, but still, experiencing a more normal childhood would have been nice. He's not exactly seeing the forest for the trees with this, but it's fine.]

Anyway, we need to stop hanging out down here and I need to talk to Arria. Someones gonna think I couldn't handle a little searching around or I got lost or something before too long. [Probably Rubia. She's like that.

So hey he's going to turn and head up to the open deck of the boat. Come on Kor or you'll miss the fantastic view of ocean for as far as the eye can see. Thrilling.]

Huh? [Kor was so caught up in talking to Caius like this that he barely notices him turn and leave until he's already heading up those stairs.] --Hey, wait up!

[It was weird. He was almost certain this was the first time he'd met Caius, but... He really couldn't shake that feeling of familiarity he's been getting. And with the way his Spiria felt at ease around Caius, like he was an old friend... He couldn't figure it out.

But his thoughts over his conflicted Spiria are soon cast away once he gets above deck and catches sight of that ocean. Caius didn't think much of it, but it was breathtaking to Kor.]

Wow? [He laughs, only a bit.] It's just the ocean, water as far as you can see and nothing else.

[Said with a shrug... Which quickly turns into a flinch as he's smacked on the arm by a sudden, surprisingly-agile-for-what-she's-wearing pink haired girl.

"What are you talking about Caius? You were so excited when we set sail you had me thinking you were going to jump overboard and start swimming around with how you were acting!"]

Wh-- It wasn't like that at all! I just wanted to see how deep it is, as if I'd just jump in! [... He wanted to. But didn't. So it's okay!! Hi Kor meet Rubia. Rubia, Kor. She'd take notice of Kor but she's busy bickering with Caius now so whoops.]

[Seeing Caius get corrected and scolded by his friend like that, Kor can't help but laugh. He can tell they're very close, it kind of reminds him of how his friends are.]

I grew up by the ocean, so it's not that exciting to me! But seeing the ocean like this really makes you appreciate how big and beautiful the world really is, just how much is out there to see, you know?

[Seeing the world was the best part of the adventure in Kor's opinion.]

Plus... It feels familiar. Even though this is a completely different world, your ocean looks like my ocean. All big and expansive, water as far as the eye can see. It's kinda comforting, really.
